Externship Program
The Externship Program is a one day experience for students to visit a work environment and network with professionals hiring NC State students for internships, co-ops, and full-time positions. The activities for the day include facility tours, panel discussions, and meetings with organizational leaders.
Employers interested in hosting an externship visit should email Erin O’Neill emoneill@ncsu.edu.
Students: Please sign up for externship visits using the links below for the corresponding employers. If you would like to go on an externship visit and need to be excused from class, please fill out the excuse memos below to give your instructors in advance. If you and/or your instructors have questions, please email Erin O’Neill at emoneill@ncsu.edu.

Crowder Construction Externship Visit on Thursday, August 28

Crowder, a family and employee-owned business, builds the infrastructure people rely upon. We specialize in building bridges, dams, highways, water and wastewater facilities, industrial and power facilities, and alternative energy (such as solar and biomass) facilities. We self-perform civil, electrical, and mechanical trades on both traditional and more complex alternative delivery projects.

Meeting Point: Outside Pullen Hall at 9:15 AM
Destination: Crowder Construction’s Apex Office
Provided: Transportation and lunch
Return Time: Approximately 2:30 PM to NC State
Dress Code: Business casual – long pants, sleeves, and closed-toed shoes required
