Open to: Current NC State students and alumni who are displaced federal workers or affected by hiring freezes in the federal government

About the Event

This virtual event is designed to support NC State current students and alumni whose career plans have been impacted by changes in federal hiring. Whether you are a current federal employee facing job uncertainty, have been affected by layoffs or hiring disruptions, or are a student who planned to enter public service, Pack Forward offers guidance, tools, and networking opportunities to help you confidently explore new career directions.

Event Schedule

9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Overview of Resources & Tools
Start with a guided overview of NC State Career Development Center resources. Learn how to leverage tools like ePACK and CareerShift, strengthen your networking strategies, and get tips on resume writing and job searching.

10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Career Check-Ins
Check-in virtually with career professionals for individualized support, including resume feedback, job search strategies, and career transition advice.

1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Networking with Employers
Connect with employers offering opportunities outside of the federal government. Learn about jobs in nonprofits, local and state government, higher education, and the private sector.

Registration will open on July 21. Please check back.
Free to attend. Registration is required.
Only registered attendees will have access to the event through Career Fair Plus.
