Centennial Campus Professional Clothing Drive Collects 457 Items for NC State Students
Helping Students Dress for Success Through Campus and Community Generosity

In June, Centennial Campus Placemaking teamed up with NC State’s Career Development Center to host a professional clothing drive in support of student success. Centennial Campus, a unique blend of academic buildings, corporate offices, and residential spaces, served as the perfect setting for this initiative, bringing together the Wolfpack community for a common cause.
Thanks to the generosity of Raleigh Founded and 321 Coffee, drop-off locations were made easily accessible to individuals who live and work on campus. Over the course of the month, the drive collected an impressive 457 professional clothing items—including suits, blouses, dress shoes, and pants—all of which were donated to the Wolfpack Styled Professional Clothing Closet.
The Wolfpack Styled Professional Clothing Closet is a free resource available to NC State students who need professional attire for job interviews, internships, and career fairs. Demand for the closet continues to grow each semester, and it relies solely on donations like those collected during the Centennial Summer drive.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support from our Centennial Campus partners,” said Rebekah Dunstan, Director of Professional Development in NC State’s Career Development Center. “These donations directly empower our students to show up with confidence for professional opportunities, and we’re excited to continue expanding access to this vital resource.”
Craig Prince, Placemaking Event Specialist on Centennial Campus, noted how the drive aligned with the spirit of community engagement. “This clothing drive was a great way for individuals who live and work on Centennial Campus to contribute to students in a meaningful way,” he said. “Centennial hosts a really unique ecosystem and this is another example of exactly the kind of meaningful exchange and cycling of resources we want this place to represent.”
With growing momentum and continued collaboration, efforts like the Centennial Campus clothing drive help ensure every NC State student has the tools—and attire—they need to thrive.
