In response to the coronavirus outbreak, NC State has decided to go virtual for all of our career fairs for the fall 2020 semester. This format will allow us to keep our students and employers safe while maintaining a high-level recruiting program.
NC State is excited to announce that we will be contracting with Career Fair Plus as our technology partner for virtual fairs. Career Fair Plus will help us to create an intuitive, user-friendly experience for students and employers. Please check out this video demo to see how it works!
By using this platform, we will be able to allow employers and students to interact in a high-quality virtual environment using integrated video. This platform will allow employers to virtually screen quality candidates, receive electronic resumes and save time and costs associated with traveling to campus.
About a month before the fair date, employers will receive an email invitation to create their profile on the Career Fair Plus platform. Employers will be able to add recruiters/representatives and customize their schedules.
A few tips for employers:
- We will need the name and email address of all recruiters who will want a schedule to meet with students. Each recruiter will be invited to the event through email.
- Career Fair Plus runs best on Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. It is not supported by Explorer or Microsoft Edge.
- It is important to test the platform BEFORE the day of the fair so any technical issues can be addressed.
The best part is that Career Fair Plus staff will be available the day of the fair to provide support for any technical issues and Career Development Center staff will be available to provide support for any logistical issues.
Career Fair Plus offers comprehensive resources for recruiters including weekly webinars. Find out more at: https://help.careerfairplus.com/en/articles/4208198-recruiter-resources
