Industry Networking Night for the Grand Challenges Scholars

The Grand Challenges for Engineering Scholars Program at NC State University has developed into a program of distinction over the last several years with both curriculum and extra-curricular programming focused on the opportunities and challenges affecting our quality of life (https://www.engr.ncsu.edu/grandchallenge/).

The Grand Challenges for Engineering Scholars Program has partnered with the Career Development Center to bring a powerful industry component to the program to give students the opportunity to connect their passion to their profession. To kick-off this industry component, we will be hosting an Industry Networking Night on March 6 and we would like to invite your company to participate as it has been identified as an organization that is committed to one or more of the Grand Challenges (http://www.engineeringchallenges.org/).

The Industry Networking Night for the Grand Challenges Scholars will be held on on Wednesday, March 6, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Hunt Library on Centennial campus. This event will allow employers the opportunity to introduce their company and network with Grand Challenges Scholars in an informal setting. Scholars will be looking for industry mentors, experiential learning opportunities, and full-time jobs after graduation.

There are 60 Grand Challenges Scholars – all outstanding undergraduate students with a 3.0 or better GPA and majoring in all areas of Engineering.

The cost for employers to attend is $450 which includes a 6-ft table for information and a high-top table for networking. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will also be served. Companies are encouraged to bring several representatives.

Each employer will also receive a book of resumes from the Scholars and will be the first to be part of this industry initiative. This is a great way to engage with an elite group of NC State students! There are only 12 employer spots available for this event.
