The Career Development Center is excited to have Ella Arnold as our Pre-Health Peer Advisor for the 2026-2027 academic year. 

A senior majoring in Human Biology with minors in Business Administration and Psychology, Ella brings both personal experience navigating the pre-med journey and a passion for helping other students find their own path. She can support students with many aspects of pre-health preparation, including exploring clinical experiences, planning coursework, developing resumes and preparing for the health professional school application process. 

Ella has gained hands-on patient care experience through her work with Urban Ministries of Wake County and Preston Dermatology. She has also explored the research side of health care, studying aging biomarkers at the University of Westminster in London. While Ella is pursuing medicine herself, she looks forward to supporting students interested in a variety of pre-health professions. 

“I’ve been interested in becoming a Pre-Health Peer Advisor since my freshman year at NC State,” Ella says. “As a freshman, I remember feeling uncertain and overwhelmed trying to navigate the pre-health path, and meeting with a Peer Advisor helped give me direction and reassurance.” 

That experience ultimately inspired Ella to provide the same support to other students.

“Transitioning into pre-health advising this year has already been incredibly rewarding. I’m looking forward to helping students navigate their individual paths, ease some of their uncertainty and build confidence in their ability to pursue such a challenging but rewarding career.”

Ella is already familiar with helping fellow students navigate their career development. She previously served as a Career Ambassador with the Career Development Center, where she helped lead professional development programming for undergraduate students. Outside of the Career Development Center, Ella serves as an Assistant Track Coach for Apex Middle School and is active in fraternity and sorority life and intramurals.
